Interesting interview with Paul Collingwood on the ethos of the current ODI crop http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/cricke ... coach.html

So why couldn't they get out of the group stage of the WC?

What do we think of this much mooted India v Pakistan series?

I thought (from reading on here) that India refused to play Pakistan in a bi-nation series.

Seems that India may play Pakistan but only if it's in Sri Lanka. They won't play in UAE.

Emperor Giles Clarke is leading negotiations! I can imagine he'll love that. They don't need a negotiator, I bet he just had a tantrum until they let him.

If people feel as strongly as a poster on here does, maybe they should just not do it. In another ten years, things might be different. India playing Pakistan in ODIs in SL has no real benefit for the game, or either country.

Maybe there is something within the labyrinthine circuits of 'cricket diplomacy' that might be furthered between the nations? Aside from those involved feeling they are doing important work, I don't see what the gains are.
