I don't doubt Jose will be back.

A big club under achieving will give him a chance and undoubtedly his style of football will bring success if he has the players. Its just not a fit I can see at United.

He has lost 2 changing rooms now, 2 in a row. A good man manager would not do that, his ego is getting in the way. Will he learn, im not sure. Strikes me as a person that its his way or the high way. A Clough like manager. The difference now is that players have just as big egos.

I wonder how long Chelsea will hold onto Costa for. Seems like a few team mates are not to happy with him. A great soap opera to watch. Going to be very tough for who ever comes in.

If United had bought better in the transfer market under Van Gaal, or where playing football that was interesting, then Id be inclined to give him more time.... but they are such a dull and unambitious side at the moment, I think if was a United fan I wouldnt be happy at all.

And now they are fighting for a top 4 place, even after spending £300 million in 3 years.

Mourinho wanted that job all along. He kissed Fergusons arse for years for it, and hinted massively he wanted to replace him.

Mourinho is successful, after a third year without a title United fans would love him to come in for a year or two and win. His teams are boring, but his record is to win lots. Its easy to fault his record at Real and recently, but he lost the title twice to a Barcelona team that went a sniff away from 100 points, and the title he won in the grand scheme of things in the future will standout as one of the few times Barcelona at their peak were beaten. He did pretty well there! This season is the only real blemish!

I think he would be a great fit for them. A successful manager in English football with a proper philosophy and with a title in every spell as manager, and two of the most impressive European achievements in history.

Form is temporary, class is permanent, and he will learn from these mistakes. He is still the best manager out there, if a team willingly turns that down when failing to live up to its own expectations, then I am surprised.

Even though I'm not a Mourinho fan, I wouldn't be surprised if he got the United gig...but I can't help feeling that will end in tears, too.

On the hype that managers get...I don't think Mourinho was responsible for bringing a single player into Chelsea. With the exception of Terry, the entire team that won the Premier League last season was the creation of Michael Emenalo. And yet, here we were toasting Mourinho, as if he's mainly responsible for Chelsea's success last season. In reality, maybe Emenalo should've taken a significant portion of those kudos.

Similarly, maybe Emenalo should also take a portion of the blame for how players such as Fabregas, Oscar and Ivanovic suddenly figured out how to play well now that Mourinho has gone. However, Emenalo no doubt argued that it's the same team that won the Premier League last season, and as a result, it was bad management which so alienated the players. That's what makes the Chelsea team so hard to manage...the manager has much less power than the technical director.

Emenalo creates the team, and the manager manages his creation....

I think Watford are owed a huge amount of praise so far this season...but aren't really getting any.
