Given that the pace is more sedate compare to the mens game, the points scoring system is slightly different. This is effectively on a trial run basis and subject to review after the tournament is concluded.
Rules
Select 11 players, no restrictions on who to pick.
Tournament format is 2 groups of 5, top two qualify for the semi-final stage
Batting
For every run scored 1 point
If a batsman scores 25 she will get additional 10 points
+10 for every further increment of 25 scored
Someone who has a strike rate of of above 80% will get additional 10pts, above 100% additional 20pts and above 133% additional 30pts provided the batsman has scored at least 15 runs.
Bowling
25 pts per wicket plus
5 points bonus for maiden over
10 pt bonus for a 2fer
20 pt bonus for a 4fer
If a bowler has an economy rate of <=4.0 and has bowled at least 2 overs, she will receive a 30 point bonus
If a bowler has an economy rate of<=5.0 and has bowled at least 2 overs, she will receive a 20 point bonus.
If a bowler has an economy rate of <=6.0 and has bowled at least 2 overs, she will receive a 10 point bonus
Fielding
10 points for each catch taken and stumping.
20 points for sole run out (10 each if shared)
10 pt bonus for being involved in 3 catches / run-outs / stumpings
