Lost to Gayle then. Bowling root, taking out a seamer and adding another batter could be a change worth making. Weakening our weak bowling doesn't seem like a plan but I reckon we're gonna need 200 on a good pitch.

Don't agree that England have a bits and pieces attack. Only Stokes isn't in primarily as a bowler. It's just handy that they all bat, apart from Topley.

And we had a very good bowling attack for that tournament which is why we won

not really, in 2010 England nearly scored 200 and then had to sit back whil DL reduced WI's target to bugger all in plenty of overs with 150 wickets in hand

but it does show that in 20 overs, one player, on a good day, can win a match for any of the teams against any of the others.

My guess is that the England management are pleased that Holland and Ireland didn't get through

Broad, Sidebottom, Swann, Yardy and Bresnan. Even now they could still do a job for England, with Swann and Yardy retired from all cricket.
