Cricinfo has that change, and adds Hales has a back injury.

when he stated that his team bats down to 10 … "and sometimes 11, given the circumstances"

hmm.... I see what you mean

Jordan at 11 then!

from the little I've seen, Topley is bowling in the wrong place but he is bowling roughly in the same wrong place

Jordan, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have a clue where the ball is going to go from one delivery to the next.

drop Jordan, pick Dawson, tell Toppers to bowl in a different place... preferably a better place. left arm does give a different dimension if it can be harnessed... if he hasn't been damaged by the battering he's been taking

my reason for dropping topley was as much because he is a very similar bowler to willey

same sort of pace, both swing it with the new ball and bowl half decent at the end

England have decided to bat. Feels like a good plan in an early game.

Hales and Topley out, Plunkett and Vince are in. Dawson still waits for his debut.

Dissapointed no third spinner especially if we were intending on batting first

What does Jordan have to do to get dropped

Lol Warne is a plonker.
Batting first is the best way to improve NRR especially if you have another game after this.
If England win by 20 runs, to get the same NRR they need to win by 12 ball spare.
if england win by 50 runs to get the same NRR they need to win by 7-8 overs spare.

I played with the NRR calculator and it is far easier to improve NRR by batting first.

We lost the first game and kept the same side, so I'm not surprised we have gone in with the usual suspects.

Jordan replaced the Dernbach and Bresnan quota.
At least this time people actually agree he should be dropped.

Sorry to hear Warne is on duty.

Dawson for Stokes could have been another option.

Plan for england is too score big and then get Afghanistan out for a cheap score should be more easier as well with Delhi having more life for the bowlers, plus it being slower should mean run scoring is difficult.
