Honestly, if they dont beat Everton or Norwich in their next 3 games, then they are right down there.

I must admit I like Pardew and have no real desire for them to do badly except that it means they hopefully stay below us.

I don't blame Pardew for jumping ship, but I do blame him for staying so long, nodding his head like a donkey and spouting 4th placed silverware bollix while the owner pushed his own flawed methodology into the club. I also think Pardew has a screw loose. I was glad to see the back of him, tbh.... I wish he'd *modded* off 2 years before he did.

Benitez is a man who could turn the club around by forcing the owner to discard his failed 'head coach' model, The sad part is that he'll jump ship in a few weeks time, the day after relegation, and the owner will employ somebody else on the cheap, won't trust him with his money, and Newcastle will be back where they were only struggling to survive in the championship instead.

If Newcastle don't survive this season, I can see the club going down further than the championship in the next few years

Better just to give it all up as a bad job and concentrate on athletics, gynmnastics, and swimming........ keep my sanity intact..... well... sort of intact

Phillips?

Correct, 2000, 30 goals.

Sheringham scored a few in 2001. I'm sure he got the player of the year, that season.

Seem to remember Marcus Stewart being amongst the goals for Ipswich around 2000-2001.

One positive if Newcastle do go down is the football in the Championship is more real and the supporters more genuine.

Plus hopefully you win more games than you lose!

19. Owen scored 16, Teddy got 15, and Heskey 14.

Hasselbaink was the top scorer with 23.

Reuben Loftus cheek puts Chelsea 1-0 up at Aston villa.

penalty for the rugby tackle...2-0.

Pedro makes it 3-0. This could be embarrassing.

another pretty finish by Pedro...4-0.

proud history what future?

Arsenal have a home banker tomorrow, Spurs go to Utd, and Leicester entertain the Saints.

Thankfully you were right about Arsenal Finchy, need teams behind us to drop points when we're taking thrashings.
