Staggered by the bids for Chris 'hang on a minute while I look for my teeth' Read, while Fozzie goes for a song in comparison

I have a 23 man squad which, if it's good enough for Roy Hodgson, should be good enough for me. There must have been half a dozen players in my 30 man squad last year who never played, and these non-players were exchanged for other non-players throughout the season, so I'm largely happy

I'm only largely happy, because I didn't pick up many of my preferred keepers, and have had to settle for Roderick (which is okay, but I had to pay more than I would have liked to get him) and Barrow who seems like a bargain if he actually plays for Somerset and they don't bring in somebody from left field like the overseas Ronchi that they brought in last year.

I got the bulk of the players that I set my stall out to get at the start of the process, but I definitely slipped up with the keepers

I gambled on England deciding that the Bell book was closed, and that the captaincy of Warks would keep the man himself motivated to play for the whole season.... hope I'm right.

and while we've all been concentrating hard on assembling our teams, don't forget that the CC FL's start on Sunday, so anyone who hasn't got their teams in are running out of time

Shame that we can't increase our bids by just £1. Powelly hasn't got any money left to increase his bid for Foster, so any increase in bid from me and he's mine.

I had an auto-save on excel, and now make a couple of the budgets 10K out: Brendy -10 and Sussex +10



Can either let me know whether this is correct or the earlier version?
