Looking through the early matchweeks I will be lucky to get 11 players on the field in week 2.

Powelly beating Sussex to Shreck, and Sussex beating RD to Napier.

Brendy increased his bid for Foster and Powelly had no cash to re-bid. The knock-on effect of the final round meant that Bhavesh, Ntini and Sussex had unspent money in the bank.

I will allow them to pick a single player to add to their squad:

Bhavesh = 80K
Ntini = 70K
Powelly = 60K
Sussex = 30K

Sussex has taken Dixon from Kent. Other players avaialbe from 80K - 60K:

I have sent out PMs with links to the Google Docs for team selection (DFM and RD were trying these for me to make sure they work )

There are spaces left to fill the remaining slot on Ntini's, Powelly's and Bhavesh's squads.

I will take the teams for Matchweek 1 from these Docs tomorrow morning, then post a set of teamsheets on the thread.

This is a scoring sheet from a game last season between Makhayas Misfits v Collys Wobblers. For new players this year (and a reminder for others) hopefully it will give an idea of how things work.

Matchweek XIs will comprise of the first eleven players (from top to bottom) who play any part in their counties game that week. Those that do no play are rather boringly denoted as DNP.

Team scores are calculated by dividing the number of runs your eleven players make between them by the number of wickets taken by your opposition. This will give you your Runs per Wicket (RPW) total.

Wickets taken by bowlers count as one, with dismissals taken by wicket-keepers counting as half. The team with the highest RPW total will win the match and take the 16 points. If the totals are level (highly unlikely unless it is nil-nil after a washout) the match will be drawn and teams will take 3 points each, with 8 bonus points added, to give a Matchweek total of 11.

From the example you will see that the Wobblers wickets taken total is 24.5 made up by 23 wickets for the bowlers and 3 dismissals (1.5 points) for the wicket keepers.

Bonus points will be the same as last year.
Teams that win matches will be able to take their weekly points total up to a maximum of 24 points with impressive performances with both bat and ball:

4 points will be earned for scoring 600 runs or more.
3 points will be earned for scoring between 500 & 599 runs.
2 points will be earned for scoring between 400 & 499 runs.
1 point will be earned for scoring between 300 & 399 runs.

4 points will be earned for taking 30 wickets or more.
3 points will be earned for taking between 25 & 29.5 wickets.
2 points will be earned for taking between 20 & 24.5 wickets.
1 point will be earned for taking between 15 & 19.5 wickets.

From the example you will see that the Misfits scored 24.86 RPW, and took 4 batting points plus 2 bowling points. The Wobblers scored 26.63 RPW, and also took 4 batting points plus 2 bowling points

The Wobblers therefore won the match by 22 points (16 + 6) to 6 (4 + 2)

Over the course of the 18 Matchweek season the team with the most points overall will win CFM 2016.

Fill up the whole squad in case players you expect to play are left out by their county.

Once the squads are fully complete, would it be possible to list them again, please Ian?

I like to keep them handy so I can try to predict which players I'm likely to be up against each week when selecting my own team
