Ian any chance of their being a weekly transfer window, where we can release players, buy new ones etc, even trade between teams.
would be useful getting rid of injured players, overseas players or players dropped.

Get a few during the season anyway, but it would be too hard to organise every week

It's also why we have squads, to cover for injury, call ups, and non-selection

I'm hoping they get on the park tomorrow and Matty Coles making up for lost time by taking a 5fer. If there is a 4 day washout, I do at least have Briggs on the bench with a wicket already in the bank.

I posted my team. Do remind me lads, I dont need to do it do I as the google docs should be enough? Is there anyway on the google doc to simply move the names around a bit easier?

If I want to slot Bresnan in an move everyone down, I have to do it 25 odd times!!

Looks like it can be done in isolation, but when I experimented on my team it messes up the other formulae and conditional formatting

Maybe stick Bresnan as number 1? He would always be picked when he is playing and get an automatic DNP when he isn't?

James Taylor has had to retire.... I hadn't considered the shocking implications of this........ Having paid 130k for the services of Ian Bell, I'm hoping that England go back to Ballance at 4 and not Bell

Very sad news indeed, but I guess the main thing is that is has been noticed early on and he can get all the necessary medical attention.

However, sorry to be a pedant, but I disagree on replacing him - it's the same impact on a team as a season ending injury and we don't allow ad-hoc replacements for that.

I tend towards Red's view here. Besides there will be an opportunity to replace him during the first transfer window

Difference is in this game we have a pre-existing medical condition forcing a player to retire. The player hasnt missed any games and Brendy would have paid money (and lost out on other potential players) to land him. So naturally its like he bought a dud.

I think some people get lost in competitiveness. I think Brendy getting a replacement is fair!

He can get a replacement when the transfer window opens. Having said that I am sympathetic to your view.
