I am currently looking at a way to import the runs, wickets and dismissals directly from a website into my spreadsheet, which should reduce the errors in the scoring. I will probably not get this checked until tomorrow. Meanwhile I have updated everyone's Google Doc for Matchweek 2 fixtures.

Naturally my preference would to be able to replace Taylor now. But I will accept whatever final decision is made.

(Not that I think waiting until the transfer window will exactly help me. I doubt there's much quality left un-bought who I could adequately replace Taylor with, except for the odd England player who will play early season but will be unavailable later in the season).

I think maybe a fair compromise would be for Brendy to have the initial draft pick in the first transfer window, irrespective of his league position.

If all has gone to plan with the scoring, I will be changing the Google Docs slightly so that the initials are before the surname.

NB. This is where things could go awry with the likes of D'Oliveira, O'Brien etc.

4 points will be earned for scoring 600 runs or more.
3 points will be earned for scoring between 500 & 599 runs.
2 points will be earned for scoring between 400 & 499 runs.
1 point will be earned for scoring between 300 & 399 runs.

4 points will be earned for taking 30 wickets or more.
3 points will be earned for taking between 25 & 29.5 wickets.
2 points will be earned for taking between 20 & 24.5 wickets.
1 point will be earned for taking between 15 & 19.5 wickets.

My team for week 2 looks marginally weaker than for week 1, but wk 2 is Ian week, and he has some of the England boys who will be available to play for him. Might well be the difference. Week 2 feels like a bad time to be playing Ian, but there you go...... it might ssip down again and become another 'who can get on the park' lottery. Either way, I'm sure my boys will do their very best, and if they do, their best might very well be enough

After being both helped and hindered by rain to a perhaps lucky win over durham_andy I now face the prospect of a 9 or 10 man team for week 2. I have 14 players 4 of which almost certainly won't get picked to play and Rhodes of Yorks who might miss out now that Willey has arrived.

Why not, but you should know my 9 man team is pretty strong. After all I won this week without 3 players getting on the field.
