I like Rafa, comes across as a nice guy when not asked questions about Ferguson, and I think he is a top manager. If Newcastle went down he wont stay, but if he keeps them up, he is the perfect manager for them. Given a bit of time, has an excellent eye for a player, good tactical awareness.....

In fact, id be offering him a huge contract to keep him if they do go down, and attempt to rebuild the club around him. The biggest club in the world decided he was the best guy available only a few months ago, the fact he even considered Newcastle is a shock.

All three clubs will claim superior position. Sunderland have the streetwise nature and have been there every year in this position.... Newcastle have the most astute manager and best team..... Norwich have the lead.

Rafa hasn't got the greatest record in the Premier League.

got top for about 4-5 years in a row, and pushed Man United very close one year. In an era where Chelsea spent mega money and Man United were much more powerful in the transfer market, he was never going to win it.

To think that he won the Champions League and lost another final with a team that would probably compare with Tottenham now, is a massive achievement.

I was referring to his Premier League record not European. He probably won the Champions League too early and the expectations for the League went too high as a result. The club had been drifting along as a top four club when he took over and things didn't really change much when he arrived. When he left they were heading downwards and apart from the blip with Rogers nearly winning the title, haven't really recovered.

My view is that we've come full circle, and are back to where we were a month ago - Norwich joining Villa, and one from two out of Newcastle and Sunderland.

Two serious poor results for Norwich have also completely outdone the good work of theirs from the previous three games. Survival in their hands and they have totally blown it.

Newcastle having back-to-back games against Palace (h) and Villa (a) is almost a certain six points. Ignore the fact that their other two games are Liverpool and Spurs. Yesterday's point was massive for them. If they do win those two, you're then asking Norwich to get at least four more points, but probably five. Good luck with that given Arsenal and Utd are their next two games.

Sunderland meanwhile would definitely need five points (but almost certainly not six) to match Newcastle on that basis. They've got the fixtures to do it, albeit more so away than home, but for me there's not even one, let alone two, nailed on game that I can pick out. They could win three of them, and sail to safety, But they could win none of them.

Newcastle and Sunderland both have better players - and more experienced managers - than Norwich. Rightly or wrongly, I think that will finally tell - even though I really don't want it, and want it to be Norwich who survive.

If Origi is out for any length of time then Funes Mori should get the same length ban plus 3 more games on top.
