Rooney played ok. He did have more space than he'll get against a better team, but the boy done ok!

Considering the fact that I slagged him off for the last 6 months saying he shouldnt have been there, it was in my interests to highlight everything he did wrong.

Apart from the shot he put straight at the keeper, which wasnt a sitter, I cant really fault anything he did. Far from playing "ok" I thought he was virtually faultless.

He had two. He had the one frmo the edge of the area where he tee'd himself up and got a good strike on target from nothing really, not a miss as such. The one I was referring to was the ball that came across the front of the box and he ran onto it and forced the save, but it was a decent chance.

Kane needs to have a good game tomorrow, else drop him for Vardy.

It's possible that a long hard season has taken its toll mentally and physically and he hasn't got much left in the tank.

If fit i would also start with Sturridge. Just has that little more about him than Vardy.

Vardy as an impact Sub. But Kane will start, one bad game and he should not be dropped.

I also wonder if Rooney was subbed last game due to his fitness. Did not have a full season and was not fully fit when playing for United.

Kane will definitely start tomorrow and he should do. But if he has another average game will Roy take him off? Not sure the manager can make bold decisions.

Take the last game when we went 1-0 up, he should have gone for the jugular, got Vardy on and destroyed the Russian Centre Backs. Instead he went conservative, and then totally f*cked up and brought on Milner.

What gets me is, we have taken Vardy, Kane, Sturridge, and Rashford, but we only play one up front. None of those can really do the job out wide.

Rashford has gone for experience which makes sense. 4 strikers is not to much, and im guessing Roy always picked Rooney to play in the midfield. So maybe Wiltshire was not so much of a risk?
