Batsmen did little wrong in chasing 204, Bairstow got robbed for a caught behind when it did not hit the bat. Difference being Lancashire's bowlers were on song and the spin trio of Parry, Lilley and Croft contained Yorkshire in the middle overs. In comparison Yorkshire were poor, aside from Patterson and Bresnan.
Must say I am rather impressed with George Edwards, good death bowler who has variations.
Wonder if things will sort themselves out when Travis Head and Kane Williamson join up
Williamson might give the top 3 batting some strength along with the occasional off-spin. Biggest problem is losing players on England ODI duty - Root, Rashid, possibly Willey, Plunkett and Bairstow. Yorkshire simply don't have enough white ball bowlers in reserve.
Travis Head is a pointless signing, not arriving until mid July and is only playing three T20 game. Also his red ball credentials are no better than what Yorkshire currently have even if half the batting side are out of form.
