What scenario would see Portugal finish second from here?

As it stands we play Portugal.

You just know it's going to happen!

If Austria or Iceland take the lead we can't play Portugal.

If there's one more goal in either game, Portugal move from 2nd. It doesn't matter which of the four sides score it.

No more goals = we play Portugal
Portugal goal = we play Hungary
Iceland goal = we play Iceland
Austria goal = we play Austria
Hungary goal = we play Iceland

To be honest, if Portugal are going to defend like this, then playing them wouldn't be the end of the world. But I'd still rather avoid.

That's about as far as I've got!

Just an inevitability it's going to be Portugal.

Given that Austria have to score or they're going home, we could yet see them sending their keeper up for a corner...and this one remaining goal coming from Iceland winning the ball and breaking.
