I wonder if England were watching. Perhaps they were too busy enjoying themselves, relaxing somewhere nice

When you're worth 50 million and can't get in the England team what's the point.

Easy for the French but Iceland kept on going to the end.

You could say France have hit form, or peaked, but Germany will give their defense some problems.

Hoping for a Wales - France final. Nothing against the Germans, but it'll be nice to see the host nation in the final.

The sad irony is, its the reactions like the ones in the press in the last week that are the reason England fail. You seen in that second half they played like every missed pass would end in the familiar death sentence. We put so much pressure on our players and destroy them when they dont do well, no wonder they rather sit on a beach.

Ive heard it all the last week..... dont play with passion. That's pretty much bullsh*t, there was no lack of passion, just application. Dont put enough effort in? Again, utter shite. The team didnt look lazy, just lost their nerves.....

We dont produce players good enough apparently...... yet the favourites to make the final were sunk by three goals by English born players with third generation links to Wales, and all of Wales best players play for teams in the English Football League structure..... and all bar two play it in lower levels that all of the England team.

So England's football league produced one semi-final team. A team far lower in general quality..... so, in essence, England's problem has to be all mental.

The best example I have seen is some idiot from Talksport who was commentating at the end of the game vs Iceland, and who was basically sounding off about England being utterly terrible. He slated Kyle Walker, who had been England's best player in the group stages, saying it was a disgrace that Walker walked up to the England fans at the end to clap them and thank them..... They apparently didnt want this waste of space failure to clap them, because he had disgraced his country and wasnt fit to wear the shirt. The video was shared a few million times and liked .....

Brilliant. So people complain they are too spolit and detachted, but they acknowledge their own fans and are told they are a disgrace. Makes a lot of sense.

Indeed. But then we wonder why they always fold like a stack of cards the first moment pressure comes on. No one thinks those sorts of disgusting and hateful reactions might be the reason players feel suffocated when they step on the pitch.

I mean, Ian Wright wrote an article seriously suggesting England's players were taken to Afghanistan on a tour of duty so they can learn passion and pride in their country. This is the kind of shite that gets feed to the team.

Ha, that would have worked.

The England players apparently wanted to go to the Somme but the FA said they needed a rest. Who put them idiots in charge?
