Interesting article on the rising IPL-isation of the CPL http://www.firstpost.com/sports/it-will ... 27178.html
"It has been said of the unseen army of the dead, on their everlasting march, that when they are passing a rural cricket ground the Englishman falls out of the ranks for a moment to look over the gate and smile."

I just watched it, and what an innings it was!
Chris Gayle hit 108 not out from just 54 balls, with six fours, and all of 11 sixes! On the back of that innings, Jamaica beat Trinbago by seven wickets with more than an over to spare. Earlier, Hashim Amla made 74 from 52 and Colin Munro 55 from 39 to set up an imposing target of 191-4. After that, it was the Chris Gayle show....

It didn't help him much against Barbados...he was out for two.
Barbados beat St Kitts-Nevis by seven wickets with more than an over to spare. First, Evin Lewis hit a round 50 from just 33 balls, and Jonathan Carter chipped in with a run-a-ball 41, as St Kitts-Nevis posted 162-8, Saffer pacers Wayne Parnell and David Wiese taking two wickets each. Shoaib Malik then hit 54 from 46, and AB de Villiers struck 63 not out from just 33 balls, to guide Barbados to victory. Thisara Perera took two wickets for the hosts.
