Given the venue and the pitch, looks a good effort from England.

I dont think the conditions are that unfavourable to bowling. There has been consistent movement on offer. I think 300-350 was par for either team.

This swing we see from Woakes is what got him noticed by the selectors in the first place. I think now he's relaxed and feels a true member of the team we seeing the real bowler.

Over the course of 'his short Test career England have missed quite a few chances off Woakes bowling - he's done well not to let that get to him and continue to do what he does well.

I dont think we should be surprised that Woakes is doing well. Give enough chances to a quality performer, he will pay you back. Hope to see this become a regular occurance.

I think I have made my point about England's hard on with apparent pace or players of certain "sexier" types getting picked..... Woakes is a performer, its incredible he is waiting till 28 to become a regular for England.

In another note good thing is that Woakes could play as a bowler which Sober Stokes can't so woakes should keep his spot when Sober Stokes and Anderson come back.
