The Pakistan pace bowlers are a little contrived at the moment. Put the man back, bowl short, bowl yorker. Too easy...

These are batsman that cant block decent bowling, test that!!

I prefer them going for it, because this pitch is offering up plenty of wicket taking balls, and the longer we take to get the runs the more of those balls we're going to get.

This chase was always going to be odds against from the start.

This is test cricket playing for your country so a more gritty approach is expected than what we're getting from these batsman.

I've seen too many gritty cautious fourth innings chases end up in defeat.

Not really. This is how he bats. I said before expect to expect some quick 30s and 40s (quick, but not slogging) from him, before getting out. Lobbing one up in the air, or nicking to slip, for 43 off 47 now would be his career in a nutshell. He doesn't convert anywhere near often enough. But nor does he ever look bogged down.
