Not really. This is how he bats. I said before expect to expect some quick 30s and 40s (quick, but not slogging) from him, before getting out. Lobbing one up in the air, or nicking to slip, for 43 off 47 now would be his career in a nutshell. He doesn't convert anywhere near often enough. But nor does he ever look bogged down.

Nursery ground place is packed and the bar in upper grand stand doesn't really offer much snacks which is annoying.

How do you judge the innings of Vince if you're a selector? Do you say hey he made more runs than others managed or do you look at his technique and say he was fortunate to make those runs?

Maybe were about to see the reason why Balance has such a high batting average, he certainly has grit.

I had misgivings about selecting Ballance but he could be the glue that holds this innings together.
