If (a big one) we can get 7 wickets for 100 then it's pretty tight. Some over cast conditions and Jimmy and Broad near their best will give the Pakistan batsmen problems.

The comms are usually wrong if they let bias come in the way.
yesterday only really Bob willis suggested England still got lot of work to do with the ball.

Weirdly enough this might be the 2nd time in this series people have underestimated pakistan and both times they responded well.

I said this at lords, their something different about this pakistan team and you can sense something special going to happen in this series.

Bob willis been quite good on the verdict lately.

I know you can't really tell from the highlights, but it might be that Anderson was ticking after the drop. It's been said before how poorly England bowlers react to drops (and the pressure put on the fielders) and it's doubly galling when wickets are not looking likely.

Today was the first day in donkey's years I watched every minute of a Test game on the TV.

Am I the only one starting to think that Cook is hardly the most inspirational captain? Did not see him buoy up the boys at any point. Was just....there.

It's strange this running on the danger area thing. At Lords there was quite a bit of it. The umpires were told to be strict about it in the following Tests. Then when Pakistan were bowling in this Test there was some called by the umpire when they weren't running on the danger area at all. When Anderson got got warned, SKY then showed that he had been doing it about 7 times. The third umpire must have been watching/listening to them because he was the one who contacted the umpires on the field to give the warnings. Anderson has had this problem his whole career and has been taken off in one Test. He spends a lot of time asking the umpire if he is ok.

The way I see it is that it is benefiting both teams when a bowler does it. Anderson is helping Shah and their bowers helping Ali. Batsmen get no warning for running in the same area, only if they run down all the way down the middle of the wicket. Maybe if we get 4 day Tests this rule will change.
