I won't ask "Can Spurs win the title"?, because they're bound to crumble at some point. Their win does at least make the title race more interesting.

To be fair to Pep and City, the difference between KDB and Navas is huge.

But then again, because it's so huge, and because they were playing away to Spurs, today highlighted a failing in Pep. One which you didn't see in Sir Alex, for example. Don't bother to play Navas, it's not like it was likely he'd do anything. Respect the opposition, and play another man in the middle of the park. Reduce your attacking options to 'just' Aguero, Silva and Sterling.

Anyway, we've yet again been punished this season for not signing a top striker in the transfer window. Had the chances to beat Leicester - and were easily better than them (even Ranieri has said we deserved to win), despite only returning from Israel on Friday night - but a weak forward line let us down again. That's about nine points dropped already, that our play didn't deserve.

He still does. Indeed, I believe he's the USA captain.

Had a very brief stint at Villa, but now plays back in the MLS after a multi-million pound move from Roma.
