NO!! One of the two not out batters has been shelled.

The BD players will be pleased that it was by Ben Stokes.

Most teams would have bowled spinners, but England spinners have not been upto the mark. On Day 4 in second innings there should have been lot more chances generated than the England spinners have managed too. Clearly there is a huge quality gap between the bowling attack of Swann and Monty as compared to the other English spinners bowling in tandem. I am wondering what spin options will they bring on tour to India.

I think most sides would have taken the light with a set batsmen and so few runs to play with. Aside from India of course who have the best spin attack going.

Given how the spinners have bowled, the India tour is looking decidedly grim.

It seems Cook too was unhappy with the way spinners bowled. There was enough pressure to exploit the batting lineup with a big tail. Also, the uneven bounce and footmarks were not used well, which says a lot about how the spinners bowled today. It comes across that the new spin options are not relatively good.

I still think one wicket will give the 10th wicket soon.

Whatever the outcome of this game, this has been a superb effort from Bangladesh.

I don't think that's anything we didn't already know to be honest, Adi. Ali has been under a lot of pressure over his place in the side as a spinner, Rashid is unproven at Test level and doesn't have the best domestic record as a front line spinner, Batty is a one off pick for these two tours to the subcontinent.

I thought Moeen was in squad because of his batting + bowling. Can he really justify his place in squad as a specialist spinner.

Yeah Moeen at 5 now, can't just be judged on his bowling, and too be fair to him, he has scored runs in this test...Rash and Batty are more under pressure with the ball now, as they are just in the side for their bowling..

Well he is but it's only because we have no one else. If we had a proper spinner then Moeen could just play as a batsman.

I have grave forebodings about the result tomorrow so I shall be not be the early bird I've been up to now.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I am not sure whether he justifies place as a specialist batsman.

I dont mind if he is in team as multi skilled player because he gives option of few spells atleast each innings with chance of picking a wicket or two. If England had 2 five fer specialist spinners then he could be dropped and pace allrounders like Woakea and Ben can continue.

I personally think Ali, apart from the boundary ball, has looked the most likely of Englands spinners to make things happen. Battys type of negative drawn out rubbish is the type Indian batsman fall asleep dreaming of. They will milk that all day and night.

I think the problem is we're picking 3 average spinners hoping one of them has a blinder rather than their being any faith in one of them. At the end of the day shouldn't we be picking a better pace bowler over one of them? Ball is far more likely to have an impact against Test batsman than a county spinner.
