Regarding batters at nine and ten. England's highest scorers at nine are:

Broad
Swann
Giles

Highest at ten:

Trueman
Harmison
Willis

Hoggy batted at nine for a long time. Once you get used to having batters there though, it begins to feel necessary.

I'd play a team of eleven of our best all rounders!

BD should be all out for around 100 after that wicket.

After all, how useful have specialist 1,2,3,4,9,10,11 been in this series?

Stokes is averaging seven with the ball in the series! (and is second highest run scorer for his side, though only two runs ahead of Woakes, who leads their averages).

I think Woakes must be more patient, find a good length and keep it there. Maybe he feels if he doesn't get a wicket early Cook will banish him to third man.

Oh well, the game now rests with Stokes tomorrow morning. If he can produce another quality spell of reverse swing we're in with a chance. Otherwise we're doomed.

Mind you looking at the series so far BD are probably worthy of at least one all.
