Buttler already has twice as many runs in the series as duckett

Good session for England another one like that and some of the damage will have been repaired

Anderson and Woakes should be pleased to see how well Umesh and Shami have bowled today. The conditions have definitely been helpful for pace.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Hopefully it will stay that way for the English bowlers.

Bairstow (again) and Buttler have helped recover the early setbacks. Haven't a clue what a good score will be, but we can at least be competitive if we can get to 300.

Just turns outs indian bowlers are better and the england bowlers can't take wicket or threaten in similar conditions.

This has been england incompetence

Indeed, the pitch is actually disappointing again. I can't understand why we are not producing pitches that offer assistance to the spinners from the start.

If Eng had batted well Ind would be up against it

However, 3 drops from Ind have really cost us, especially the Bairstow drop which would have left Eng at about 150-6 - now it's 208-5 and nothing much happening.

bah just as i was starting to feel pretty good about how buttler was playing, another fairly ordinary way to get out

did an ok job considering that expectations of him were pretty low

just need one more decent partnership to get us up close to the 300 mark, hopefully woakes or rashid can stick around with bairstow

bairstow looked pretty confident reviewing that but no inside edge and it looks pretty plumb

Good effort again from JB1, and bonus runs from JB2.

I looked up runs scored from 7-11 mainly to judge Woakes' lower order efforts. He's got the 12th best average for England (minimum 400 runs), but notably, four of that top twelve are in this present side, which demonstrates how resilient the lower order has been. Though one of these is Buttler, who is seen to have failed.

I always say that everybody's right.
