For the second day running, the match at the Darren Sammy Stadium was washed out without a ball being bowled. The match between the Windwards and Guyana ended in a draw, like the other two rain-ruined games.

The fractions have taken over with a vengeance....

Guyana - 33.6 points
Barbados - 33.4 points
Leewards - 29.4 points
Jamaica - 28.6 points
Trinidad - 27 points
Windwards - 17.6 points

Jamaica got off to a good start on the first day of their four-day match against Trinidad at Sabina Park. Andre McCarthy hit 82 and Brandon King 78, to lead Jamaica to 314 all out, while seamer Roshon Primus took three wickets for the tourists. At stumps, legspinner Damion Jacobs had reduced Trinidad to 35-2.

The other two matches start today.

We're into the fourth round, and there have only been three centuries, one hit yesterday by Test reject Shiv Chanderpaul, who notched up a round 100 against Barbados in the opening day's play at Providence. Opener Shimron Hetmyer also hit 60, as defending champions Guyana made 311 all out. Pacer Kemar Roach took three wickets for Barbados.

On yet another rain-affected first day's play, this time in Roseau, pacers Gavin Tonge and Alzarri Joseph took seven wickets between them, as the Windwards limped to 186-8 at stumps. Liam Sebastien (56) and Delorn Johnson (46) have put on 60 in an unbeaten ninth wicket partnership so far.

For the second day, another 12 wickets fell at Sabina Park. Spinners Damion Jacobs (4-61) and Nikita Miller (3-53) combined to dismiss Trinidad for a paltry 206 all out, Jason Mohammed the topscorer with 91 not out. Leading by 108 on first innings, Jamaica were strongly placed at the halfway stage of the match, on 148-4, built around Jermaine Blackwood's 80 not out.

It's Miller time!
8-)
Left-arm spinner Nikita Miller took a sensational 9-41 to bowl Jamaica to a 132-run win over Trinidad in Kingston with a day to spare. Chasing an unlikely 338 to win, Trinidad were bowled out for a mere 205 all out, legspinner Imran Khan topscoring with 52. Earlier, Khan had taken 5-50 to dismiss Jamaica for 229 in their second innings, Jermaine Blackwood topscoring with 81.

Rain ruined the second day's play at Providence, where Barbados limped to 48-2 in reply to Guyana's 311 all out.

At Windsor Park, half-centuries from tailenders Liam Sebastien (80 not out), Delorn Johnson (56) and Mervin Mathew (73) rescued the Windwards from 48-7, and carried them to 291 all out. Pacers Gavin Tonge (5-56) and Alzarri Joseph (3-65) did the damage. Opener Montcin Hodge hit 76 and wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton 77 not out to take the Leewards to 209-6 in reply. Sebastien has taken three wickets at the halfway stage of the match.

In Dominica, wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton topscored with 94 as the Leewards were bowled out for 259 by spinners Shane Shillingford (5-96) and Liam Sebastien (4-78). Leading by 34 runs on first innings, the Windwards posted 311-6 at stumps on the penultimate day. Opener Tyrone Theophile hit 96 and wicketkeeper Sunil Ambris 84 not out, while offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall has taken three wickets to date.

On the third day's play at Providence, Shai Hope hit 70 and Roston Chase 57, as Barbados were bowled out for 288, left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul doing most damage with 4-68. Leading by 23 runs on first innings, Guyana were 32-2 at the close.

At Roseau, the Windwards beat the Leewards by 94 runs. Wicketkeeper Sunil Ambris hit 91, as the Windwards declared on 333-8. Pacer Gavin Tonge and offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall took three wickets each. Set an unlikely 368 to win on the final day, the Leewards were bowled out for 273, Liam Sebastien taking 4-67. Wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton topscored with 125.

Rain ruined yet another result in the four-day competition, this time at Providence. Spinners Jomel Warrican (4-12) and Roston Chase (4-41) dismissed Guyana for 139 in their second innings. Set 168 for victory, Barbados limped to 23-3 when rain stopped play.

Well, we'll soon find out if it helps in the development of our pace bowlers...as we can see, spinners still dominate the returns.

Leaders Jamaica were in a commanding position at the halfway stage of their day-night game at Basseterre. Legspinner Damion Jacobs took 5-103 to bowl the Leewards out for 243, wicketkeeper Jahmar Hamilton making 103 and allrounder Rahkeem Cornwall 66. Jamaica's batsmen then plundered the weak Leewards attack to reach 461-4 at the close of the second day of their four-day match. Not out batsmen Brandon King (155) and Devon Thomas (73) built on half-centuries scored by John Campbell (88), Shacoya Thomas (54), and Jermaine Blackwood (55).

Once again, rain curtailed play on the opening day of the other two games. At Providence, medium pacer Raymon Reifer and left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul took three wickets each to dismiss Trinidad for a paltry 162 all out, allrounder Roshan Primus topscoring with 42. In Roseau, Barbados limped to 101-3, Shai Hope topscoring to date with 34 not out.

Jamaica crushed the Leewards by an innings and 73 runs on the third day's play at Warner Park. Brandon King hit 194 and wicketkeeper Devon Thomas 114 not out, as Jamaica compiled a massive 550-7 declared. The spin twins Damion Jacobs (5-64) and Nikita Miller (3-44) then combined to skittle the Leewards out for a mere 234, Chesney Hughes topscoring with 54.

Guyana were in command at the halfway stage of their match against Trinidad at Providence. Replying to Trinidad's poor first innings score of 162 all out, the hosts were 357-6, led by veteran Test reject Shiv Chanderpaul (141 not out), who continues to outshine the current Test batsmen. Leon Johnson made 69.

Rain continued to ravage this season's first half of the PCL, with the match at Windsor Park in danger of being washed out. At the end of the second day's play, Barbados had batted for less than 50 overs in limping to 137-6, Shai Hope topscoring so far with 43, while pacer Mervin Matthew has taken three wickets so far for the Windwards.

At Providence, veteran Shiv Chanderpaul was out for 143, as Guyana made 378 all out, legspinner Imran Khan taking 4-78. Trailing by 216 on first innings, Trinidad limped to 96-2 on their rain-affected third day, thanks largely to a knock of 63 from Isaiah Rajah.

Rain continued to dominate proceedings in Dominica, where the third day's play was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

At Providence, Guyana battled rain to beat a poor Trinidad by 10 wickets. Left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul took 5-53 to dismiss Trinidad for just 235 in their second innings. Set a mere 20 to win, the Guyanese openers easily knocked off the target.

The match at Dominica ended in a tame draw, after a lot of time was lost to rain. Kevin Stoute topscored with 50 not out, as Barbados posted 200-8 declared. Pacer Mervin Matthew took 4-52. At stumps, the Windwards were 42 without loss.
