Yeah it just feels weird to me I suppose. He's not really a very typical 1 drop.

Don't think Inzi gets in that team, and given how literally we're taking our second names, he can try for the U XI. If de Silva is a D, and al Hasan is an A then Inzi is a U.

just shows how strong this batting lineup is when Desmond Haynes would have walked into most of the other sides so far and isn't even in the conversation here

'I' looks like a non-event: a bowling attack comprising Ilott, Irani and a pair of Illingworths is not cutting much mustard!

Some good Aussie spinners. Including the inventor of the carrom ball.

Keeper's a problem.

Couple of obscure Indians, I can't think of any Domestic Keepers off the top of my head.

At least there's an obscure keeper to fall back on. I can think of only two i's which are credible picks, maybe three which are acceptable, and the the rest are just make weights.

I've got two players in the i team that could probably be picked without having to include justification. Asif Iqbal and Ray Illingworth.

Probably just about any i is going to have a chance of getting in. The only competition I can think of is for a second spinner position. Both Bert Ironmonger and Jack Iverson had short careers but were briefly successful, and Iverson became famous for his variations and Gideon Haigh's book Mystery Spinner (he was another cricketer to kill himself). Ironmonger sounds like a quickish, Underwood style sla. Given only Mohammad Irfan gives much quality to the pace bowling at this level, surely two spinners have to be picked.

John Inverarity

Asif Iqbal
Ronnie Irani

Ray Illingworth
Jack Iverson (or Bert Ironmonger)
Alan Igglesden (or Mark Ilott)
Mohammad Irfan

Bert Ironmonger has to get in for the name alone

Would have thought Tahmin Iqbal would be a shoe in here.
