It would put Warks and Somerset in a really bleak position.

I wonder if more sides might follow our strategy of basically treating it like a t20 game, when going out to bat at Taunton. It was a hell of a risky strategy from Bailey, but you just need to look at our second innings score (where the strategy was deploying to its fullest). By far and away the stand out score, and heavily due to batter after batter just coming out and swinging.

It's probably not how you want to see four-day batting conducted, but if that's the pitch that away sides are presented with...

FTECB are not just refusing to sanction Somerset, but seeming to actively encourage it

FTECB won't do it, but at least the other counties have been able to punish Somerset on behalf of the integrity of the game

Decent turnaround after being annihilated by Essex and then being skittled in the first innings of this game after winning the toss.

Suggests there's a decent spirit in the camp.

Not sure to be honest. I've never parked at the ground in my life (when I drive, I always park for free in residential areas, about a 20 minute walk away). But I get the feeling that it's a bit better now.

As for the renovation, I think finalising the golf course (which is due to open in July I believe) is the last piece of the jigsaw.
