I guess on this pitch we should expect even Warwickshire to build some decent partnerships. Barker has opened the batting for Warwickshire if I remember rightly.

I might be wrong about Barker opening but he does seem to have a history of lower order resistance particularly with Jonathan Trott!

This partnership is looking as unbreakable as Adams and Ervine's was.

Be interesting how Trott plays this now, particular given there's a batting point 15 runs away and a new ball 3 overs away.

He used to score runs for fun against Durham and cause carnage with the ball. I bet his stats against us make him seem like the world's greatest all rounder!

I don't know what's more frustrating, this lower order resistance or trying to post on this website in recent days.

For sure we're going to need a similar post tea session to yesterday to stand any chance of winning this game.

I'm not going to have a go at Bailey for not bringing Abbott back earlier. I understand the logic of wanting to keep him fresh for the 2nd innings. I can understand the logic of challenging other members of the bowling attack to step up the plate. But I think that ball has sort of proven what we should have done a little bit earlier. At a bare minimum, it has cost us being able to avoid losing two wickets for the change of innings (which would otherwise have coincided with tea).
