Third innings cricket. Some interest in seeing Jennings and Westley though (or will be tonight when I watch the highlights). Credit to SA for keeping things tight- though England are scoring at three an over which is par.

probably match situation.
England setting target and sa not really bowling to get wickets.
probably expected more runs to be scored.

Fifty and out for Honest Joe. A familiar scenario. Wickets to the spinner is no hardship for England though, with the fourth innings looming and nearly 400 in the bank.

I think DRS got it wrong there, the ball was never hitting middle and leg.

I think the reason was because the ball marginally deflected off the front pad onto the back pad.

Does it not recognise that?

Disappointing debut for Malan. Question over whether he'll stay in with either Ballance being back, or a specialist spinner coming in.

Was the whole of the bail dislodged?

Very close, probably a fair call.

Got topple over issues with the ball coming back into him.

Don't go back to Ballance, I didn't follow beginning of test, is he injured then?

time to get off the field

it would be blooming stupid if TRJ picked up a hamstring injury, or broke a finger, with England f@rting about looking for a security blanket that they don't need
