In the bottom-of-the-table clash at Beausejour on Sunday, Guyana beat St Lucia by six wickets with just one ball to spare. Medium pacer Rayad Emrit took 4-35, and miserly legspinner Rashid Khan two wickets for just nine runs from his four overs, as they restricted St Lucia to 152-8. Johnson Charles hit 53 from 32 balls, and Shane Watsonn 32 from 27. Chadwick Walton, Jason Mohammed and Gajanand Singh all hit 30s to guide Guyana to 153-4.

The Trinbago Knight Riders established themselves as tournament favourites, when they won their top-of-the-table clash by four wickets, with just three balls to spare, in front of yet another packed crowd at Queen's Park Oval on Monday.

Sunil Narine took 2-26 to restrict St Kitts to 158-7, built around 30s from Bajans Shamar Brooks and Jonathan Carter. Denesh Ramdin carried TKR to victory with 59 not out from just 35 balls, and he received support from Colin Munro (36 from 30). Spinners Mohammed Nabi (2-12) and Samuel Badree (2-14) did most damage for the visitors.

They saved the sacking until after St Lucia's last game, which was Tuesday!
On Tuesday, in front of another poor crowd, in another exciting, close match, Jamaica beat St Lucia by five wickets with just two balls to spare. Andre Fletcher hit 89 not out from just 53 to pilot St Lucia to a formidable 173-7. He received support from Marlon Samuels (54 from 36), while pacers Mohammed Sami (3-27), Kesrick Williams (2-37) and Rovman Powell (2-36) did most damage for Jamaica.

The home team bowlers were expensive, as andre McCarthy rescued his side with a match-winning 61 not out from just 37 balls. He received support from opener Glenn Phillips (32 from 21), an Aussie playing his first CPL match.

St Lucia and Jamaica both fielded four foreigners, but while Jamaica put out three locals, St Lucia had four, including the non-performing Johnson Charles. apparently, Sammy was sacked when he refused to allow the selectors to drop his fellow-St Lucian.

On Friday, in front of a good crowd at Warner Park, St Kitts beat Barbados by 17 runs on D/L after rain brought a premature end to the match.

Dwayne Smith hit 33 from just 16 balls, and Kieron Pollard 63 not out from only 40 balls, to take Barbados to 168-6. Legspinner Samuel Badree took 2-27. After 10 overs, the hosts were 84-1, thanks to Chris Gayle (38 not out from 25 balls) and Mohammed Hafeez (30 not out from 29 balls) when rain stopped play.

Also on Saturday, in front of an average crowd at Basseterre, points were shared after heavy rain seeped onto the pitch, and forced the match to be called off.

After eight overs, St Lucia were 46-1, thanks largely to a run-a-ball 27 from Andre Fletcher. Fabian Allen was the only wicket-taker for St Kitts.
