4 points from the first 4 games. Going ok :thumb

Just need to keep going at that rate and relegation should be avoided.

38 points is nearly always enough!

38 points might take them down?

Think it's only ever happened once or twice, so very unlikely.

Key to survival in this league is going on at least two decent runs during the season. A series of 7 or 8 games where you pick up 4 or 5 wins. We've done that each season we've been in the Premier so not overly concerned about our start. Yet!

Wasn't it get 40 points and you're safe? Or was that for a 42 game season?

It what they always say but the stats say it's very rare that 38 or 39 gets you relegated.

I think 40 has taken someone down once in the history of the Premier League but I may be wrong.

Stoke go 1-0 up against Manchester United.

Pogba scores a quick equaliser!

Lukaku is enjoying his start with United, 2-1.

Stoke level, 2-2.

I hate it when Newcastle play on a sunday

they generally do better when they play on sat at 3pm, so I'm expecting to lose

No Rafa, apparently.... hernia surgery he had during the international break got infected so he's in hosp, or bed, or something

I've had enough of playing on a Saturday this season thanks, 4 games no points.

We're trying Friday evening next week, see if our fortune changes, doubt it.

Sorry Yuppie, just seen your post.

He didn't play very often for us, mostly cup games. I thought he was a decent keeper when he was at Reading but didn't think he did that great for us.

Championship is his level I think.

And same again this.

Can anyone see a title winning side with Jones and Bailley at the heart of the defence?!

Thank goodness we have some company on zero points after 4 games as Palace lose 1-0 at Burnley.

From the stats its hard to see how they did lose.

23 attempts by Palace to 4 by Burnley
29 touches in Burnley's box compared to 6 in Palace's.
65% possession to Palace.
448 passes by Palace compared to 253 to Burnley.

Just proves that the only stats that matter are the number of goals.

Still if I was a Palace supporter I'd have a shred of hope that eventually those stats will convert into goals and wins.

If ever a game is destined for 0-0, it's Palace v Saints next weekend. One league goal (excluding penalties) between us.

Sky are going to regret picking it.
