On the third day's play, it was back to the usual practice of wickets tumbling in the PCL.
In South Trinidad, 16 wickets fell, leaving defending champions on the verge of a comprehensive victory going into today's final day. Left-arm spinners Veerasammy Permaul (4-43) and Gudakesh Motie (4-46) routed the hosts for a paltry 120 all out in their first innings, Amir Jangoo topscoring with 39. Forced to follow on 364 runs behind, Trinidad were reeling in their second on 106-6 at stumps, allrounder Keemo Paul with four wickets to date.
In St Kitts, 14 wickets tumbled leaving that game nicely balanced. Veteran left-arm spinner Nikita Miller signalled his return from surgery, by taking 5-65 to dismiss the Leewards for a disappointing 232 all out. Leading by 110 runs on first innings, Jamaica fared even worse in the second, all out for 191. Tailender Derval Green hit 51, while offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall took 4-32.
In St Vincent, 14 wickets also fell on yesterday's penultimate day, leaving Barbados in a strong position to force a win today. Spinners Jomel Warrican (3-49) and Kenroy Williams (3-21) dismissed the Windwards for only 222 all out, despite half-centuries from Roland Cato (64) and Kyle Mayers (56 not out). Despite leading by 138 on first innings, Barbados slumped to 148-9 at the end of the third day's play, their batting line up ruined by offspinner Shane Shillingford, who took 5-70. Wicketkeeper Mario Rampersaud is the only batsman to offer any resistance, with 31 not out.
