Not the most exciting match but I suppose goalless draws with Germany and Brazil are better than losses.

Qualified for their 4th world cup in a row. Its a big achievment for Australia. Im not sure many teams would have travelled as far as Australia has to qualify. From Jordan to Honduras. They have certainly taken the long road to qualification.

The last world cup Australia were pretty much the worse team there. Im not sure they will be much better this time. Perhaps they can get lucky and have an easier group.

That's as conclusive as saying that a 0-0 draw was boring, by the scoreline.

The first penalty was an unlucky one for Honduras, one of those (almost) incidental handballs. The second though was the result of a cynical stopping of a goal through good attack. There is no doubt Aus were the better side in both these two matches.

However, their whole qualification was far short of convincing, and as Yuppie suggests, Aus will probably leave the finals at the first opportunity.

We don't even know if the manager is going to be there yet....

The Aussies have qualified, who cares how. Better to see them than Ireland and their bland Football.

The Denmark win was very satisfying.

Australian qualification for the world cup har the following stats according to some papers in Aus.

29 months.
22 games
250,000km travelled. Its tough for the players who play in Europe to head home during the season to play in Australia.

But Australia is there again, and that is great:)

seems to have been some shenanigan's before the NZ match. Fireworks outside the team hotel at 3am, jets doing fly by's in the middle of the night, shamans working black magic with snakes on the NZ team photo............... all learned from the behaviour of American golf fans during every Ryder cup

England would be great, just more because it would get a lot of attention in Australia. England should win that.:)

A group of England, Australia, Peru and Panama would be awesome. But seedings would not allow that.
