so they'll keep him with the team for the next few weeks then, and deprive my team of his services..... deep joy (shrug of resignation)

Possibly letting him know that he is there abouts, and send him back to the state to play. Or maybe they are including him because one of the quicks has a niggle?

Good stats Prof.

A factor in the DN Test for people watching in UK is the long break before the last session. That's not what you want as the extreme tiredness grips.

For people who stay up all night, yes. But won't the night session be on in the UK from about 7-9am? So perfect for some pre-work breakfast viewing? Or have I got my timezones muddled?

Similar disjointedness if you look at his batting positions. This year alone, he's batted as an opener, #4, #5 and #6. He batted at #3 earlier in his Test career too.

ha!

what does he know? Apparently England rugby winger Jonny May is faster than Bolt over 40m, it's the last 60m that made Bolt great... no use whatsoever on a cricket pitch

Well, the pre-series press chatter, player conferences, articles etc. are everywhere.

England are saying mostly the right things, while frankly the Australians' trash talking is a little embarrassing. But none of it will matter on the field.

I do wonder how much of it is staged behind the scenes, by the press and the two cricket boards to try and build interest/excitement in a series that most predict is going to be pretty one-sided.
