According to Accuweather, tomorrow is going to be very pleasant in Hamilton.

There has been some uneven bounce on the pitch, but it looks good for batting as long as the West Indies apply themselves. A shame Hatmyer was out to a tame dismissal when his batting tomorrow morning could be very handy. Hatmyer certainly looks the part in international cricket and has potential to very far the more matches he plays.

Again the West Indies keep on bowling no balls, which occured to me that this may well be a contributing reason why they can't bowl their full allocation on time. Is the captain really at fault on this instance?

I actually believe the West Indies are an opener and a middle order batsman short of being a very competitive side. After Chase the lower order batting looks brittle. I suppose the key difference in this test match is Boult and Southee's later order cameo, otherwise a 330 1st innings total would not as daunting for the West Indies to get back within parity.

Alviro there is bright sunshine but sadly hardly any spectators. Will you be going to any matches in this series?

Kraigg out for 20 to a careless shot outside the off stump. Boult strikes.

The top order continues to fail.

Powell 0

Hetmyer 15

Shai Hope with a really poor innings bounced out for 23.

Ambris looked shaky playing the short ball and retired hurt.

Another short ball gets a wicket! Dowrich out for a duck!

Chase made 64 but there was not much else as the west indies were bowled out for a paltry 203 all out. Wagner took three wickets and there were two wickets each for Boult southee and santner.

Ambris has a fractured arm and will be withdrawn from the limited overs squad.

Devastating for him, having got into the side.

NZ seem to be beating WI with more ease than England did.

NZ bowlers in particular all improving their stats.

More than just bright sunshine, it was blistering hot in it's peak! That's me done for the West Indies tour of New Zealand, just the two test matches. A 4 day pass for $80 with my NUS card you can't go wrong.

Can't say for certain why crowds were low - christmas round the corner, working week, population of Hamilton district 160k, $35 entry fee with the match likely to end at tea. It's not uncommon for Kiwi spectators to arrive after the morning session, but leave well before stumps. Maybe test cricket is only religiously followed in England.

I can't see how 4 day tests with 110 overs per day can work, especially when the weather has been constant sunshine and temperatures in the high twenties celsius, the Windies bowlers were absolutely ragged after putting in an incredible shift.

Poor Shai Hope was rattled by the ferciousness of Wagner, hence getting out one ball after he was struck. Brathwaite himself cited shot selection was why the batsmen put below par scores. If only Roston Chase had more batsmen incoming or a lesser total to chase, because he applied himself superbly.

Ambris is out with a broken arm, and there are question marks about the fitness of Samuels. There's no word on replacements, though.

Marlon Samuels, Sunil Narine and Alzarri Joseph have been ruled out of West Indies' limited-overs leg of New Zealand. While Samuels was pulled out due to an injured right hand and Joseph a back strain, Narine - only in the T20 squad - made himself unavailable for personal reasons.

Sunil Ambris, who took a blow to his left arm in the second Test against New Zealand in Hamilton, has also been replaced by Shimron Hetmyer in the ODI squad.

Updated ODI squad: Jason Holder (capt), Jason Mohammed, Shimron Hetmyer, Ronsford Beaton, Shannon Gabriel, Chris Gayle, Kyle Hope, Shai Hope (wk), Sheldon Cottrell, Evin Lewis, Nikita Miller, Ashley Nurse, Rovman Powell, Chadwick Walton, Kesrick Williams

Updated T20 squad: Carlos Brathwaite (capt), Samuel Badree, Ronsford Beaton, Rayad Emrit, Andre Fletcher, Chris Gayle, Jason Mohammed, Ashley Nurse, Kieron Pollard, Rovman Powell, Shai Hope, Jerome Taylor, Chadwick Walton, Kesrick Williams

Our guys are so bad, they even lose to a Kiwi second XI....
Parikh took 4-47 to restrict the West Indians to 288 all out, with only the Hope brothers offering any resistance, Kyle getting 94 retired out and Shai 69. Raval then hit 169 and Popli 62, to propel the hosts to a six-wicket win with more than an over to spare.

Indeed...Beaton bowled nine overs 0-42, and Williams bowled five overs taking 1-18. There's one bowler too many in this XI. One of them could've been replaced by a batsman, like Walton.

Lewis hit 76 from 100 balls, and Powell 59 from 50, to take the West Indies to 248-9. Bracewell took 4-55 and Astle 3-33.

The top order all got among the runs as the Kiwis easily knocked off the total for the loss of five wickets and with four overs to spare. Worker hit 57, Munro 49, Williamson 38, and Taylor 49 not out, while Jason Holder and Ashley Nurse took two wickets each.
