Surely they are not going to give him a lengthy international ban in addition to the games he'll already have missed. Even a harsh punishment of , say , a 5 test ban and several ODI's will have been served if the disciplinary process took part immediately after this tour - and in all likelihood it won't.
I'd have thought any ban would be backdated and include the games he's already missed.
Lord Patel was elected to ECB as "equalities" representative yet he appears to be advocating that Stokes be treated more severely for his alleged misdemeanor than an ordinary member of the public would be for the same offence. Not much equality there, my Lord.
