In the final round, which was of academic interest only, a lot of teams rested experienced players.

There was a huge gulf in class at Providence, where champions Guyana took command of their match after just one day's play. Medium pacer Raymon Reifer took 5-40 to dismiss bottom-placed Trinidad for a pathetic 135 all out. Once again, veteran Denesh Ramdin topscored with 50, while the young batsmen failed to come to the party. Chanderpaul Hemraj hit 72 as Guyana replied strongly with 116-1.

In the battle for second place at Bridgetown, Barbados ended Day One strongly placed on 261-2. Shamar Brooks hit 104 not out and Shane Moseley 79, while John Campbell and andre McCarthy are the wicket-takers for Jamaica to date.

In a low-scoring match at Basseterre, there were two wickets each for Jeremiah Louis, Rahkeem Cornwall, Chaim Holder and Terrence Warde as they bowled the Windwards out for a paltry 197 all out. Kavem Hodge, Roland Cato and Delorn Johnson all hit 40s. At stumps, the Leewards were 93-2 thanks mainly to a knock of 56 not out from Devon Thomas.

Guyanese batsmen ran rampant on the second day of their match at Providence. Lower order batsmen Raymon Reifer (85) and Shefane Rutherford (93) carried the hosts to 466-7 at stumps. Spinners Bryan Charles and Yannick Cariah have taken two wickets each for Trinidad so far.

Barbados were in charge of their game at the halfway stage at Bridgetown. Shamar Brooks hit 166 to take Barbados to 427 all out, while Christopher Lamont, Derval Green, Nikita Miller and John Campbell took two wickets each. In reply, Jamaica were reeling at 93-3 at the end of the second day's play.

The second day's play at Warner Park seems to have been washed out by rain.

On the third day's play at Providence, Raymon Reifer hit 108 not out and Keemo Paul 53 to take Guyana to 540-9 declared. Part-time spinner Yannick Cariah took 3-91. Trailing by a mammoth 405 on first innings, Trinidad did better in the second, reaching 282-8 at stumps. Jason Mohammed hit 92 not out and Tion Webster 77.

At Kensington Oval, Barbados had a large lead going into today's final day, having curiously turned down the option of enforcing the follow on. Left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican took 3-34 to dismiss Jamaica for 247, wicketkeeper Chadwick Walton topscoring with 72. Leading by 180 on first innings, Barbados opted to bat again and reached 147 without loss at the end of the third day's play.

In St Kitts, the Leewards took command of their match against the Windwards. Devon Thomas hit 172 and Montcin Hodge 61 to take the Leewards to 405-9 declared, against Kyle Myers (3-64) and Larry Edwards (3-109). Trailing by 208 runs on first innings, the Windwards were 28-1 at stumps.

Champions Guyana emphasized their dominance by crushing Trinidad by an innings and 81 runs at Providence yesterday. Pacer Keemo Paul (3-118) and left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul (3-73) bowled Trinidad out for 324 all out in their second innings.

Barbados secured second spot when they crushed Jamaica by 216 runs in Bridgetown. In their second innings, Barbados made 69 without loss declared, Kraigg Brathwaite hitting 58 not out and Shane Moseley an unbeaten round hundred. Set an unlikely 350 for victory, Jamaica were bowled out for a paltry 133 all out by pacer Keon Harding (5-66). Opener John Campbell topscored with 28.

The match at Basseterre ended in a draw. Tyrone Theophile hit 160 not out and Devon Smith 151 not out as the Windwards batted all day without losing a wicket to finish on 342-1. Offspinner Rahkeem Cornwall took the only wicket for the Leewards.
