My tv decided to time off as that city disallowed goal went in....

Any reason why its not 2-0? If thats a foul on the keeper we may as well stop here

Ah offside. Still it wasn't that either.

Poor officiating

I was going to post why wasn't that goal given because the ball came off Milner. The commentators and pundits didn't say anything at the time, so I assumed the rule might have changed.

No, good goal, should be 2-0.

Apparently the rule is unintentional or intentional contact with the ball. Milner intentionally played at the ball so not offside.

He was way offside, two Liverpool players have to be nearer the goal. There was only one, Kyrgios had come flying out his goal and wasn't involved.

Guardiola seems to have trouble winning the champions league outside of Barcelona.

I didnt think of the keeper being off the line..

Either way, the rule works the opposite. Intentional contact of the ball from an opposition player means the player offside is not deemed to have gained an advantage, therefore not offside.

So its literally 100% a very poor decision

Correct, the positioning of Sane is irrelevant as Milner intentionally contacted the ball.

I reckon the ref deemed his contact was unintentional.
