DEVON SMITH! Not Devon Smith jr?

I don't think I can imagine a more unlikely recall. Devon Smith has been dropped and recalled more often than Mark Ramprakash was. He's been recalled and dropped about three times since even the most optimistic Caribbean cricket follower gave up hoping that he might finally make it this time.

And now, he's pushing 37. And his Test average over a 15 year career (38 Tests) is 24.5!
I always say that everybody's right.

It shows how much the Test team is scraping the bottom of the barrel, if Devon Smith can top the four-day batting aggregates and averages....

Test opener Kieran Powell will get the opportunity for valuable match practice ahead of the upcoming Test series, while Sunil Ambris and Jermaine Blackwood have been given a chance to impress selectors again, after being named in a 13-man Cricket West Indies President's XI squad to face Sri Lanka starting today.
