29/1 and still 80 behind.
It wasn't first ball drop for Latham - it was first ball of Viljoen's spell.

Wait 'til Nigel's finished!

one of two things will happen now.... we'll either finish them off without conceding too much of a lead, or we'll watch them compile a century stand for either the 8th, 9th or 10th wicket
hmm....... I wonder which it will be?

it's just inevitable really......... thick end of a 60 run stand for the 9th wicket in a game with no runs in it for the best part of the day.
I guess it's our lack of anything remotely resembling a spinner that does for us.... most counties would have cleaned the tail out with spin once the ball became as flat as a fart... occasionally homegrown, but more often imported either as an overseas player or a kolpak.
Now that we have signed a spinner for the fag end of what will become a completely meaningless part of the season, what's the betting that he either gets injured quickly (something that Wor Nige will not, amazingly, be able to sort out), or turns out to be a complete pudding?
Durhamfootman wrote:good news about Steel. Hopefully a nasty bruise won't won't stop him from batting if we need it.
More likely the game will be so far gone by then, that we don't risk him
and hopefully the diagnosis of bruising won't have come from Wor Nige, but from somebody who actually knows what he/she is talking about, rather than someone who just makes stuff up as he goes along

very good

Not sure WA would have realised, so perhaps Colly told him
