100 partnership now and Alastair Cook has notched up another milestone - he's gone past 22,000 FC runs. Be good to celebrate it with a century!

Yorks get an early wicket, Stoneman out to Coad for 9. Headingley in the sun is usually good for run scoring so I'm expecting Surrey to bat for five sessions. Unless the hosts work a miracle with the new ball.

Bit of sea fret at North Marine Road, the sun gradually getting to work.

Scarborough! Not Headingley. I won't edit my error...

Wish the game was at Headingley! Considerably nearer to get to...

When the sun does get to work at Headingley, there is usually uneven bounce at the Kirkstall Lane End particularly into the 3rd session.

Think you’ll find it’s at Scarborough Arthur. Match being streamed on Sky.

Only seen him bowl 4 balls but Coad’s action reminds me of Woakes.

The other ex Durham bat out now.

Yorks' reluctance to pick a spinner (even in high summer) is reminding me of Andy Flower at his most inflexible.

Is there a new rule where the opposition can get penalty runs if a batsman shows dissent? Yorkshire Twitter feed motioned being awarded " five penalty runs for two Surrey offences, one in the field and other Stoneman's reaction to being given out."

Thanks. So it sounds as if Surrey must have transgressed once in the field and then Stoneman's dissent was the second offence resulting in the 5 run penalty. The pressure must be getting to him!

Only requires another 40000 to overtake Jack Hobbs :laugh

Non too bright is Rocky. Wait a few seconds until you get in the pavilion and you can call the umpire all the foul names you wish.
