Congratulations to GG-Amir Sohail. A stellar final round.
Observation: This seems to have been a difficult game for you guys to play. Our normal cricket prediction games just require you to put in a team before the series starts - fire and forget, if you will. This game needed seven rounds of predictions, and often there was only a two or three day window to get them in. As a result, only five of the nine original player actually managed to get a prediction in for every single round, and several dropped off towards the end, for whatever reason.
An alternative for future tournaments might be to take the approach for Ian's Wimbledon game, where you pick players/teams before the tournament starts to represent you all the way through. The advantage of that is no risk of players dropping out, the downside is that with a knockout tournament, a bad first round effectively means you're out of the game - you are behind on points, and you have fewer players left in the tournament to pick up points so your ability to catch up is reduced.
For the cricket world cup predictions, this won't be such an issue, as there is the 10-team round robin, and only two knockouts at the end, so every team gets a minimum 9 games (my word, that tournament is going to drag - 45 group stage games and 3 knockouts).
Thanks for playing, and good morning!
