With the way we bat in the first innings 150 might be enough for a good lead!

this might be one of those matches where a hard fought 50 run stand proves crucial

Rushy and Salisbury have kept things tight, but McCarthy keeps releasing the pressure. Thank heavens we didn't come into this match with a 4 man attack

Might have been in bother if we had. Thing is it looks like a pretty dodgy batting lineup and also a seamer short in the bowling department. That's quite an achievement! One batsman of proven class in the top 7 ( who has hardly scored any runs in the Champuonship this year ) and only Rushy with an outstanding bowling record and he is not quite the force he once was.

Hopeless. He can be effective but presumably it's the sort of conditions where accurate lines and lengths are essential and will bring wickets.

89/6 Colly with the wicket of Lloyd.
Meschede can be dangerous and Salter has 8 FC half centuries. Chances are this will be a low scoring game so we need to prevent the usual late order fight back.

The customary 50 partnership but Smith has finally gone. 151/8. That's probably at least 30 more than they should have scored from 91/7. Must nip out the last 2 very quickly.

141 not 151!

9 down now. Patel strikes in his second over 142/9.

154 all out. Patel with the last wicket and it's tea.
I might be being harsh but it looks as if we let them off the hook there from 91/7.
Now let's see how many we get. :scared
