I know Will Smith is no world beater but surely he should be in this lineup - apart from Lees who has a clean slate there is q case for dropping everyone else in the top 5/6!

72/6. I was half-joking about wondering if they'd make it to lunch but there's a good chance they won't!
If the groundsman hasn't prepared a ridiculous pitch it must be either unplayable bowling or inept batting. I'm going to pop in for a couple of hours this afternoon-doubt I'll see any of our innings!

Sun is out now! I think it'd be impossible for you to match our efforts because our lineup is hopeless! Colly's nightmare season has highlighted how bad the rest of them are.
Some of them are relative novices with no track record to speak of and the rest have records that do not inspire confidence.
I'm already relying on Lees and he's only had 2 innings!

Procter gone for 21. A struggle so far for Curran ( cue a century!) 24-1 with Vasconelo surviving a lbw shout first ball.

It feels as if a wicket is coming ( famous last words) Salisbury causing problems but this is where McCarthy needs to avoid the loose deliveries. First over had a really good delivery but some loose ones.

This is the problem with McCarthy DFM mentioned - too many 4 balls. 2 in this over to release the pressure and the deficit is only 84.

Wakely almost out first ball - great effort from Richardson in the slips but then dropped second ball!

Vasconelos out lbw - rapped on the pads by Salisbury and fell over as the finger went up! Levi in now and Wakeley looks as if he's settling in.

Levi is out but the deficit is only 8 now. A couple of edges seem to have gone to ground and Rossington already looks dangerous.
Apart from that it's going pretty well!

I thought we bowled pretty well ( McCarthy excepted - you were right about him DFM although it was usually two 4 balls an over this time ) without much luck but unless the edges dropped short there looked to be at least 3 drops and the easiest one was Wakely on 0.

MC Carthy does,at times, get hit around the park but He's a wicket taker. His strike rate is identical to Rushy! At present, selection is a straight choice between him and Rimmington. I rest my case!
