I wonder what the excuses will be? Maybe blame the groundsman- 4 completed innings well inside two days!
Surely they'll have to bring back Will Smith and I wonder if Colly has enough left in the tank to continue? Anyone else would have been dropped a while back but he is quite rightly a special case and I would let him make the decision one way or the other. If he's going at the end of the season there's a case for going now but even if he's not scoring runs he might be the best person to try and hold things together on the field rather than a new captain - unless it's Smith who should be a safe pair of hands.

Think he means it was a new low in our batting in a season that has been woeful. Those two extraordinary wins early season were miraculous so we could / should have had only one win - and half the runs last week were scored by the debutants.
It must be by some distance the worst lineup in county cricket for many a year!

With little at the moment in the academy ready for promotion. I've no doubt Colly has been left by ITB to run the show which would be fine if he was fully focused. He was away with England all winter when recruitment should have happened and no doubt he'll be away like a shot if an post was offered and the CEO is a ITB puppet. Sainsbury and Lee's have shown it's possible to recruit from within the County Circuit. We need someone qualified and empowered to do so. Got to be JJ.

Yep. It's a full-time role and we desperately need some shrewd signings in for next year. Lees was surely right to say he had other options so we can attract players.

I'd have thought he'd be better off learning how to play in different conditions but the BCCI are not to be argued with!

if we can lose a match at home to another bottom of the table side, in August, at the only time of year when it is easier to bat, in 5 sessions?

we'd really need FTECB to change the rules so that we can have 5 overseas professionals in order to put 300 on the board

and lest we forget.... Northants didn't even field Duckett and Kleinveldt

you could replace the England batting with ours and not notice the *modded* difference
