I thought he signed for Yorkshire last week, or thats what I read.

I think he was expected to. Several articles suggested the signing was pretty much a formality so either there was duff info going around or a late change of mind by either Duckett or Yorkshire.

I dont doubt you are right, but as I said, the article (or two) that I read left no uncertainty about the deal being completed. Yet more evidence that all is not well at Yorkshire? Even new signings dont hang about for a week

It does seem strange because as you say the impression was that it was a done deal. The news is on Notts website now so something must have happened very recently. Notts seem to have form here because Durham were apparently astonished last year when Paul Coughlin left for Notts - apparently they actually had the press release ready announcing a contract extension.

Perhaps Duckett & Duckett have the same agent! I don't know the name of the particular agent but there was a rumour that Durham were so annoyed with one guy in particular that they tried to bar him from the ground! This Duckett situation could be an agent playing clubs against each other.
