I've started to dream fondly about losing because of a failure to bat out day 4

I wonder if they'll tot up the number of days where there was no cricket and offer the members a refund?

bearing in mind that they charge them to come whenever Durham get the chance of an extra day's cricket

and, of course, the 2 day defeat meant that my note about nearly half of Durham's home matches being played in September is no longer true

Yep. Bob Willis says Stokes was now following Colly's Brigadier Block style - and yet had he not done it I guess we'd have been into the last innings now with 2 full days left

Feel Raval will solve half a conundrum, his background of opening in similar conditions back in New Zealand will take some pressure off. Brook seems more comfortable in the middle order.

But no Andrew Hodd, who is apparently not fit to play despite scoring 85 1st dig against Somerset and kept well in the process. His presence behind the stumps was a lot noticeable than in recent games, going to be a huge miss.

Feel sorry for Leaning who is often the fall guy when it comes to changing personnel, IMO needs to engineer a move away from Yorkshire (the Gale regime) in order to revive his career.
