Good point! If he's been following our performances he might have to try and get his ban extended for another 12 months or so.

Colly complaining on twitter about the Northumberland league not letting him play for Shotley Bridge on Saturday - something about his registration as a pro.

So he must still be determined to keep playing. Not surprise because he strikes me as someone who will not give up easily.

Seems a bizarre rule but the problem was aired last year. If Colly wants club practise he's aware that he should be registered with a NEPL club.
Hopefully all the team will play club cricket this weekend and score heavily. Might restore a bit faith.

That'd be a good idea. They certainly need the practice!

I thought this weeks games started later in the week but they get underway tomorrow. Could be a painful experience at Edgbaston! Another game that could well be short but definitely not sweet - although a double century from Trott or Bell should ensure its not another 2 day finish.

Unchanged squad for this game and Trevaskis is in the squad for the second X1 championship final so he must be feeling better.

I think we would have if Leicestershire were mathematically out of the promotion race. There's surely no realistic chance of them going up but because they technically could they want him to stay.

Bad news - a delayed start at Edgbaston. Overnight rain and the covers are still on - such a shame.

12.40pm start. Surely it will be an uncontested toss.

Of course - that dismissal was Rushworth's 400th in FC cricket.
