Funnily enough the Somerset coach said the late order Somerset runs were proof there's nothing wrong with the pitch.
I can't remember the rules now re pitch inspectors- have a feeling it's entirely up to the umpires to call for a pitch panel so there's no longer an automatic inspection if x number of wickets fall. Sorry are playing Somerset at some stage but I don't know if it's home or away.

Well before the 22nd wicket of the day had fallen, the foremen on social media were declaring that Somerset had doctored this Taunton pitch and breached the terms of the probation imposed after the Middlesex match nearly a year ago.

that match report also seems to think that because Somerset added 80 runs for the final 2 wickets, that the batsmen will be found culpable ... even though that 80 runs came in the form of 5 4's and 5 6's
