Captain Leon Johnson led the Guyanese reply with a knock of 101, including 11 fours, and he was supported by a 68 from Raymon Reifer, while Permaul saw Guyana home with 22 not out. Pacer Jerome Taylor took 3-44, and there were two wickets each for Gordon Bryan and Nikita Miller.
In the second semi, Trinidad went down to an embarrassing seven-wicket loss to the CCC. Pacer Akeem Jordan took 5-18 to skittle Trinidad out for a paltry 92 all out, Dwayne Bravo topscoring with 27. Kjorn Ottley then struck 39 not out as the CCC chased down the target for the loss of three wickets.
